The new Ridgeline is Finally Back in the Game

This time, this compact is sporting a brand new look, adopting the same lines as the rest of the modernized line.

Compacts are definitely in nowadays. Compact crossovers and trucks have taken the market by storm, providing utility to the boot in a convenient, agile format. It is with no great surprise, seeing that the market was shifting, that Honda reintroduced in January the second generation of their compact pickup truck. With a namesake already known to people and a category now more popular than ever, it was time to see the 2017 Ridgeline back in the game.

The Ridgeline is back and it's Better Than Ever

This time, this compact is sporting a brand new look, adopting the same lines as the rest of the modernized line up with the character headlights belted with a strip of chrome that crowns the pentagonal front grille. The silhouette has been stripped down for a more trending look. All those noticeable changes have been assembled on a less noticeable one: the next-generation ACE lightweight truck structure now underlying the returning model. This new structure allows the Ridgeline to be stronger and sturdier, and also to receive the most spacious cockpit in its category.

The four-feet across bed has been designed with utility in mind, equipped with eight convenient, 350-lb tie downs, a 400-watt AC power inverter for power tools, as well as a set of exciters located in the bed walls allowing to play music outside of the cabin. The bed is easily accessible thanks to the dual action liftgate that both lifts up and down and pivots on hinges depending on the use you have for it. Payload capacity is rated at 713 kg and towing capacity can reach up to 2,268 kg. These numbers are made possible thanks to the Ridgeline’s 3.5L, V6 engine producing 280 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. And thanks to the Intelligent Terrain Management, it will tackle any task on any types of ground, be it snow, sand or other.

Filled with Technology to Keep Everyone Happy

On the inside, the all-new Ridgeline receives a list of standard and optional features worthy of its Honda badge. You will get options such as HondaLink with navigation, text message function, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility and Bluetooth connectivity, active noise cancellation, proximity key with push button start, wheel-mounted controls, cruise control, heated front and rear seats, rearview camera and tri-zone climate control, as well as the standard Honda Sensing Suite, a safety package that includes a flight of driver assist technologies.

The all-new 2017 Honda Ridgeline is now in Lallier Honda’s showroom in Repentigny. Put it to the test, explore the fully-equipped bed and you will like this second generation of our pickup truck as much as we do!
